Hopewell Support Services

Inspiring hope every day

As an agency supporting people with developmental needs, Hopewell Support Services hired us for a third consecutive year to produce its annual report. For the 2024 edition, that meant including its new brand within the content and design. We zeroed in on interviewing residents and clients to provide firsthand experiences of Hopewell’s impact in the community.

BC Women’s Health Foundation

promoting women’s health

To build awareness of a $15-million project, the BC Women’s Health Foundation needed a case for support for the Mature Women’s Health Program based at BC Women’s Hospital. By developing a clear plan, we created a multi-page narrative to spark donor interest in this unique initiative focused on the post-menopausal health of women in B.C.

Simon Fraser University

engaging donors

To keep supporters and donors up to date, Simon Fraser University (SFU) publishes the Engage magazine. Write Words Ink & Company was hired to write a donor profile for the Summer 2023 edition. During an interview with the donor, we unearthed intriguing anecdotes that illustrate the impact of philanthropy at SFU.

London Christian High

telling student stories

To shift to a student-first approach in its magazine, London Christian High enlisted our help to produce the spring edition of ConnectED. Under the theme of ‘creativity,’ we developed content to demonstrate what students were learning in and out of the classroom. Excellent photography accentuated student life at this private school.

The Navigators of Canada

donating for year-end

Near the end of every year, The Navigators of Canada send a direct appeal to its donor base. Part seasonal meditation and part fundraising ask, the letter content reflects the relational mission of the organization. In 2022, we created versions for two distinct audiences: monthly donors and regular givers. The result? A bump in donations for 2022.

Canadian Men’s Health Foundation

Giving to men’s health

To communicate its strategic direction, the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation asked for an on-brand case for support. Taking their unique voice to heart, we developed a creative solution that blends straight talk with sports humour, compelling facts with guy language — while still exploring the physical and mental health needs of men.

Other projects

Simon Fraser University

Together with senior advancement leaders, we have crafted internal fundraising materials and offered strategic advice on best practices.

University of British Columbia

Working with development communications staff members, we produced a multi-page donor report to detail the impact of one organization’s philanthropy.

Azrieli Foundation

For its 2023 annual report, we created a series of stories to showcase the effect of the Foundation’s funding on several community-based projects.

Concordia University

We developed several funding proposals tailor-made for specific donors asking them to support particular projects or programs at the university.

We’re in this together.

With you, we will develop an original narrative for your organization, so more people will join you in making life better.
